Card of the Day: 2008 Topps Mike Cameron

2008toppsmikecameroncotdAnother quick-hitter; I’m becoming fond of these nowadays. This is exactly why Topps needs to stop abusing the facsimile signature. Look at this 2008 Topps Mike Cameron card. That signature belongs to TROY Cameron — who NEVER appeared in a major league game and apparently has been out of baseball for the last four years. Ugh … I guess this isn’t as bad as the 2000 Bowman (Chrome) Eric Byrnes rookie though.

Dear Topps: Stop using Facsimile signatures. They are ugly, unnecessary and open the door for even more mistakes. Concentrate on making your cards error-proof and gimmick-free, and maybe we can revisit this in the future.
