Six retail 2009 Goodwin Champions packs
Here are the results of six retail packs I’ve purchased over the last week and a half from different stores. These may be the last Goodwin Champions packs I purchase as I now await the release of Topps Update, which has the awesome-looking Topps Propaganda cards.
Pack One: Carlos Zambrano, Cliff Lee, Ben Roethlisberger MINI, Peyton Manning
Pack Two: Bill Skowron, Jay Bruce, Carlos Beltran MINI, Smarty Jones
Pack Three: Joba Chamberlain, Donovan Bailey, Jacoby Ellsbury EXT MINI, UD Anniver. Mark Messier
Pack Four: Bill Skowron, Jay Bruce, Hideki Okajima EXT MINI, Albert Pujols
Pack Five: Brian Roberts, Dennis Eckerseley, Chad Billingsley MINI, UD Anniv. Joba Chamberlain
Pack Six: Matt Garza, Daisuke Matsuzaka MINI, Francisco Liriano BLACK MINI, UD Anniv. Evan Longoria
Comments: Six packs, three mini Red Sox, two of which are the mini exclusives? I love it. Overall it’s a little crappy that I had two packs that were nearly identical (Packs Two and Four), and I did receive three of these worthless UD Anniversary cards, but all-in-all not a bad break. Goodwin is still a fun break when you’re bored and if you’re buying in moderation. Purchasing any more than three packs in any one sitting is not advised. The one fact that keeps holding me back from purchasing more is that the buyer is essentially paying 50 cents per card — Packs contain 4 cards and cost $1.99. Chew on that one for a minute. Don’t taste so good, does it?

I think that Dice K card is one of the nicer cards in the set. Even cooler that you got the mini.
