The $5 Twitter Challenge results

For the last three weeks, a few folks on Twitter have been participating in some price point challenges that send collectors to their local hobby shops to see what kind of cards they can get for a certain price point. The initial challenge was just myself and Beckett Baseball Editor Chris Olds, and then last week a few others participated in Round 2, which consisted of seeing what singles collectors could get for $10.  Chris again got a 1909-1911 T206 common for $9.50, one other guy game up with a 1959 Fleer Ted Williams card — and still had $3 to spare, and I came up with these rookies/prospects.

The current challenge is $5. Here is what I came up with:

2001 Upper Deck Prospects Ricky Nolasco Cost: 50 cents

2005 Sweet Spot Nelson Cruz Cost: $1.25

2002 Bowman Draft Gold Shin-Soo Choo Cost: $1.25

2005 Topps Chrome Update Ryan Zimmerman Cost: $2
