First off, hat tip to Greg of Night Owl Cards, he  spotted it first and tweeted about  this. At some point late last night or early this morning, a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card was redeemed via the Topps Million Card Giveaway site.  Many of us went to the site to see if the card still appeared on the recently redeemed list and it was already gone. Greg thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. But according to a Topps representative, the redemption actually happened. In a message sent to Cardboard Icons through Twitter, the rep says the company learned about it Friday morning. That’s a great start to the weekend for somebody.
