My son enjoyed the process of opening our 2018-19 Revolution box on video so he was game for another. Here is the second video my 8-year-old son and I did this week, this is the break of some 2018-19 NBA Hoops packs we found at Dollar Tree.

The Dollar Tree packs are completely void of inserts or hits, save for an exclusive yellow parallel card that is seeded one per pack. Each pack does contain a total of five cards, so this was a fun way for us to pull more cards for out Hoops set and chase a potential big fish in the Luka Doncic yellow parallel that has consistently sold on eBay for $75-$110.

Props to Panini: NBA Hoops is solid

I don’t do a lot of basketball, but when I do, I prefer an affordable price point.

NBA HOOPS?!

I remember buying this brand when I was a kid.  The design was simple and the price was cheap.  And its back again with those same two concepts, and more.

I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a few basketball packs, but had been mainly pushed away by the high prices driven by scarce rookies and autographs.

What’s great with Hoops is you get all of the stars, a shot at 275+ autographs and a slew of inserts for a VERY affordable price point.  Hobby packs are in the $2-$3 range, and retail packs are 99 cents in most places.

Hardcore NBA collector’s may pass on it as they seek more for their investment.  But for casual and fringe collectors, the set offers pretty good bang for buck.
