This is exactly why Topps needs to stop abusing the facsimile signature. Look at this 2008 Topps Mike Cameron card. That signature belongs to TROY Cameron — who NEVER appeared in a major league game and apparently has been out of baseball for the last four years. Ugh … I guess this isn’t as bad as the 2000 Bowman (Chrome) Eric Byrnes rookie though.
Dear Topps: Stop using Facsimile signatures. They are ugly, unnecessary and open the door for even more mistakes. Concentrate on making your cards error-proof and gimmick-free, and maybe we can revisit this in the future.
